How much food should I order for each delivery? / How long will the food last?
All of our food is made freshly prepared to order with no added preservatives to extend shelf life. Our meals are ready to eat/heat and have between 5-7 days shelf life. If you order 5 days you should have enough shelf life for all 5 days but if you don't we recommend freezing the last few days until you're ready to eat. If you're looking for 6 or 7 days, you could opt for 2 separate orders of 3 and 4 days each. We can help you with this. All of our meals bar salads and some breakfasts freeze and defrost well so feel free to order more than this if you’re looking to stock your freezer.
Is there a minimum order quantity for delivery?
Collections: There is no minimum order for collection.
Deliveries: There is a minimum order value of €45.
We deliver our products in durable insulated boxes to make sure you receive your order in the same condition it leaves our kitchens. In order to secure the products within those boxes, delivery orders must contain a minimum of 6 lunches and/or dinners.
Can I order for more than one person?
Yes. This is a win-win situation, you save on delivery charges and we save on packaging. Simply order all of the food each individual requires in the one order and it’ll all go out in the same box.
If you need the food to go to two separate addresses then you’ll need to place two separate orders and pay a delivery charge for each).
Where do we deliver?
We deliver nationwide anywhere on the island of Ireland.
If you need a delivery to the Aran Islands please contact us beforehand so we can confirm the logistics. (It can be done!).
What days do we deliver?
Orders received between Wednesday and 1PM Saturday will be delivered on Monday to the Dublin Area and Tuesday to the rest of Ireland.
Orders received between 1PM Saturday and midnight Tuesday will be delivered on Thursday to the Dublin Area and Friday to the rest of Ireland.
What times do we deliver?
Dublin and the Greater Dublin Area: Mondays & Thursdays – 11am-5pm (can be later due to traffic/unforeseen delays)
Nationwide (Rest of Ireland) Delivery: Tuesdays & Fridays – 9am-6pm
Can you deliver to my home?
Of course, however, we can’t specify exact arrival times due to our carefully planned delivery routes. You don’t need to be in though; your food will be sent out in an insulated box/cooler bag with ice packs and will keep cool until you get home. Simply let us know of a safe place where the driver can leave your box.
Can you deliver to apartments and gated communities?
Yes, we do this for many customers. Either let us know the access code to the main entrance and we’ll leave it outside your door or alternatively you can make arrangements for us to leave it with your concierge.
Can you deliver to my workplace?
Yes, many of our customers find this to be a convenient option. However, deliveries to offices are obviously best achieved during normal office hours which means you may need to receive your deliveries on a Tuesday & Friday (instead of Monday and Thursday evenings) depending on your location. Please contact us for more information.
Do I need to be in to take delivery of my order?
No. Your food will be sent out in an insulated box/cooler bag with ice packs and will keep cool until you get home. Simply let us know of a safe place where the driver can leave your box.
If you live in an apartment block or gated complex, simply let us know the access code to the main entrance and we’ll leave it outside your door.
Is the packaging recyclable?
Yes. Your meals are packaged in PET1 plastic trays, the lowest carbon footprint packaging for food, which are suitable for both the oven and microwave and are made from recycled material and are 100% fully recyclable. If you have received a Cooler bag, it and the Gel packs within are resuable. We will happily take back the bags full of empty, clean trays for recycling. If you receive a box, the ice is in a (PET1) plastic bottle and again fully recyclable and the water is bottled water. The outer box is made of polystyrene (EPS) and is again fully recyclable but not all recycling facilities will take it.

Can I get a discount?
Our Healthy Eating Meal Plans are discounted to give you better value than buying each product individually. You can check those out here. We also run other offers and discounts from time to time so keep your eyes on the website and our social media channels!
How do I cancel?
You can pause your order at any time, we just need a few days notice to do that but you'll receive an email with a notification to do this in time. Your active order can be paused for 2 months. If you'd like to cancel please call the office on 012938799 and we will organise that for you. We reserve the right to adjust any discounted rates for cancellations prior to the purchased subscription length being served.
Is the food fresh or frozen?
All food is prepared fresh to order using the best ingredients, cooked by our own Gourmet chefs.
Can I choose my own meals?
Yes, by going through the Fuel Wizard, you will be presented with options based on your dietary preferences. After that, it is easy to switch out dishes for other suitable ones within the day view. If you would like to pick and choose your own dishes, you can do so through our shop. Choose from any combination of breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks.
Can I freeze my own meals?
Yes, all meals with the exception of salads and some breakfasts are freezer-friendly.
What ingredients are used?
We use locally-sourced Irish ingredients where possible, all our red meat is Guaranteed Irish.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes we can usually accommodate specific requirements. Please note we DO NOT operate an Allergen Free environment so if you have serious food allergies you should not use our meals.
You can go through the Fuel Wizard and select your preferred way of eating but if you have anything more specific, just give us a call or drop us an email and we can give you further information.
Do you offer nutrition consultations?
Yes, we offer consultations with of our expert nutritionist with a cost of €75. This cost is redeemable against a 4 week meal plan.
I am looking for a sport performance based menu, can you cater for this?
We have developed a full suite of meals perfectly suiting athletes for both pre and post exercise/match. We have worked extensively with a number of different athletes both professional and amateur from various disciplines from pitch based, athletics to combat sports. What if I don't like a meal on my meal plan?
We can't all like everything and don't worry, we won't take offence! It's easy on your account to switch out a meal you don't enjoy. If you'd like some advice as to what would be a good replacement, please call or drop us an email and we'll give you a steer.
What if I don't like certain foods?
There's no one way to eat and if you have particular preferences we will do our best to accommodate them. All you have to do is go through the Fuel Wizard and you will be able to filter out the types of ingredients you wish to omit. GourmetFuel has over 180 dishes for you to choose from, so there’s something for everyone.
What Meal Plan is best for me? How does it work?
Our menus are specifically focused around your personal energy expenditure, taking into account height, weight, age, sex and current activity level. The principles of weight management are simple:
Energy expenditure > energy intake = weight loss
Energy expenditure = energy intake = weight maintenance
Energy expenditure < energy intake = weight gain

How to order
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes, you can pause your programme at anytime and a period up to 2 months. Simply login to your account and pause your subscription or call the office on 012938799. Please make sure you give us at least 3 working days notice or you may be charged.
Can I order my food for collection?
Yes, all food can be collected from our headquarters in Stillorgan Business Park, Sandyford.
Can I put my order on a weekly subscription?
Yes, all products and plans can be put on a weekly subscription by choosing this option at checkout.
What are the order cut off times?
For delivery on Thursday/Friday the cut-off is Tuesday at midnight. Cut off for delivery on Monday/Tuesday is Saturday at 1PM.
